Our Mission:

Pioneer Genetics is proud to offer advanced biotechnological services to the public. By using an in vitro technique known as ICSI, the team at Pioneer Genetics will use oocytes (eggs) via ovum pickup (OPU)/transvaginal aspiration (TVA) to then inject each oocyte with an individual sperm cell from one or multiple stallions of your choice. Once injected, the presumptive zygotes will then undergo our procedure for ensuring each phase of development gives our clients the best odds at obtaining a viable embryo(s). After approximately one week, the viable embryo(s)/blastocyst(s) can either be shipped to the facility of your choice to then be transferred into a recipient mare(s) or cryopreserved (frozen) & ultimately stored within the frozen embryo bank provided by Pioneer Genetics.

Why Pursue ICSI?

The use of ICSI is intended for a mare that cannot become pregnant on her own. Whether it be from uterine/oviduct/cervical complications, mares that only have a finite amount of time off from training, or mares that are meant to be bred with very limited stallion semen or poor quality stallion semen.
